The Nail Polish Chronicles: More Than Critical Condition

The next morning I tried to forget about what happened yesterday. I went to school anyway and actually was excited about going to the dance.

Surprisingly I got through the whole day without thinking or feeling sick about my Malcom.

When the dance was an hour away I put on my slim, short, slick, black dress, put my hair in my bun, put black mascara on my eyelashes, dark pink lipgloss, and my big gold hoop earrings. Now I was off to the dance with Lamar in his car.

As soon we got to the school the dance had already started. As soon as we were dancing we took center floor until my cellphone rang.

I answered it,"Hello."

I closed the cellphone and ran out of the building. I waited for my dad to come and pick me up. I jumped into the front seat and he drove to St. John's Hospital.

We ran to room 276 B. I opened the door and saw my brother laying on the bed unconcience.

He was dead.
