A/N: Just a silly little poem. I haven't got a clue where it came from. Enjoy!
The King and the Commoner
It’s like this,
He’s a great king
And I’m just a peasant girl,
But if he’d just look,
I’d be his queen.
The King and the Commoner
Together we’d be,
Two hearts bound
By love and chivalry.
He’s got the looks,
And I’ve got the brains,
Imagine what we could with our reign!
We’d rule with gentleness,
Power and glory,
All would know the
Words of our story!
The King and the Commoner,
Forever we’d be,
Bound by love and chivalry.
But he’s never looked,
And I’ve never asked,
Plus the throne at his side—
Well, it’s occupied.
The King and the Common Lass,
Never will we be,
Unless, of course, he fails math class.
Then whose brains shall he use?
The queen of his dreams, that’s who’s!
He’d rule the athletic field
And I the academic—
Together we’d be each others
Best sidekicks.
The King and the Commoner,
Together we’d be,
Two hearts bound
By love and chivalry.
Forever we’ll be—
Bound by love and chivalry.
