Author's Note: Someone who I had strong feelings for about two years ago has now come back into my life. I'm way over him, and he's a lil too old for me anyways, but I still wanna get to know him more cuz he's so cool, but yeah, this is my poem "to him" lol

Two Years Since

It’s been so long

Since I last talked to you like this

Two years, to be exact

But you’re exactly as I remember

And you still make me laugh

And you still talk to me

About everything

No, my feelings for you

Aren’t coming back

You’re just like all the others

Who I choose to make my friends

Giggles, snide comments, sarcasm, flirting

It’s all the same game I play with the others

For everyone knows I only want one man

And I already have him

But I want to hang out with you

Cuz you’re a really cool dude

And I wanna go to a rave with you

That would be my dream come true

Maybe on my one year celebration

Of being with my love

That would be pretty awesome, too

But I want to know, can I fully

Trust you? I was right when I thought

You were a different person from the guy

I met at camp, you had to wear a mask now I see

But maybe I will like this you better

Maybe, we’ll just have to see…
