Crushed Dream

I was once a lonely girl,
Dreaming for my true prince to come.
People kept telling me that there is no such man,
But I refused to listen, and kept believing.

Then one day you walked
Into my lonely life.
You told me to look deep into
Your eyes.

All in that one moment,
I fell in love.
You were the first
To say it aloud.

My heart rejoiced at the very
Sound of your gentle voice.
I melted in your arms when you told me
You loved me.

I was sure you were my prince,
For I loved you more than life.
You held my hand,
And we walked through our joyous days.

Then you frowned
And came to an abrupt stop.
I knew something was wrong
So I hurriedly expressed my eternal love.

You placed your finger on my lips
And leaned forward to reach my ear.
That was when you told me
That you loved me no more.

You let go of my hands and turned around
To walk the other way out of my life.
The tears rushed to my eyes
As I fell down to my knees.

I screamed your name
But you refused to look back.
I tried to stand and run after you,
But I remembered the hate in your eyes.

I hugged myself and cried
Because you crushed my dream.
Though I am still lonely,
I will forever wait for you.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I love Red&Black. I love my music. I love wolves. I love my friends. I love my parents and family. I love someone. I love my life. But most of all, I Love The Lord My God... I'm sorry if the truth hurts...
Kanga: I thank you for your
Kanga: I thank you for your compliment on my poetry, and also for the smile and the sounds of laughter you gave to me today. I just want you to know that not all my poems are like the ones I have recently written. If it wasn't from the 'incident' two days ago, I would be fine right now. But it happened, and it hurts so much. My only way to express the pain I feel is through poetry. Do you understand? I was never really good at explaining things well. Thank you for taking the time to read my poem, though. Smile
Paige: You're right, I
Paige: You're right, I shouldn't wait. But Paige...I can't let go either. Smile
