Winter Dusk

Winter Dusk

On a canvas, bright and blue,

Paint the sky a million hues -

Burn the sun to a brilliant red,

Until it seems as if it's bled

And hide it in the mist.

Magically, the clouds do glow,

And luminous is the cold, fresh snow

It glitters and catches the dying rays

Until they finally fade away,

And slip into the mist.

The heavens are now as empty and dark

As the marble-like eyes of a wandering shark

Slowly, and steadily the radiant moon,

Like a silvery, round balloon,

Emerges from the mist.

Tonight, tonight the moon is full

Soft and white like the lamb in her wool,

It gazes, it watches over the entire world,

As the mystical winds are swirled,

Forever in the mist.
